McGee, David Lee went home 1/24/14. Dave was born in Murray, KY, to Jimmie and Anne McGee (predeceased) on 3/1/56. He was a graduate of Scottsdale HS, attended SCC, and joined the USAF shortly thereafter, stationed in NH. Dave was a champion powerlifter and bodybuilder while a member of the Thorbecke's Gym family, nicknaming him "The Kid", a huge fan of Elvis Presley and everything 50s, a proud brother, uncle, father and Papa. He worked various jobs; including front doorman at several Scottsdale bars and most recently at SWA, until an injury prevented him from working. Dave aspired to become a Harley Davidson mechanic and ride again. Dave is survived by his daughter Brandi, grandchildren Gaea, Gavin and Gaige, sister Rhonda, brother Brad (Shannon), and uncle to six nieces and nephews. The family thanks Dave's friends for their love and support during this difficult time, with a special heartfelt thank you to KJ, who has been and always will be one of us. Science Care planted a tree in Dave's name in the Modoc Nat'l Forest in CA. A celebration of Dave's life will be held on 3/9/14, time and place TBD.
