I am so sorry to hear this.  I can still remember playing hoops with him.  sorry i've lost touch with so many people.  sounds to me like he did many good things after school.

I find myself stunned and saddened in opening this posting today. So many years, so many memories. Ken and I lost touch over the years, but it is good to know that he found a purpose and calling in his life. My thoughts, prayers, and wishes for peace to his friends and loved ones.

I thought it might be helpful to add the (undated) comment Ken made from his Classmates.com profile:

"To whom it may concern, To make a long story short, after I served my duty in the Air Force, moved up to Payson where entered into restaurant management with a friend that owned the Burger King there. I stayed with Burger King trouble shooting subpar stores in North Carolina,Kansas,Colorado, and Nebraska where I now live in Omaha. My now ex-wife and I had a daughter Kayla, who was born in North Carolina.I've been single now for thirteen years. After two heart attacks and heart surgery I'm now on disability and do volunteer work with recovering alchoholics and addicts in recovery. I hope to meet up with old friends that I haven't seen in years."

Thanks Gail -

Sorry to hear about Ken's passing.  He was a flat out fearless stud!  I'll get in touch with those who knew him best.

I remember Ken well.  He was a tough guy; but, with a heart of gold.  Ken was a good football player -- I remember him as a short-yardage running back -- and shared a love of basketball with me which we discussed endlessly.  I am pleased to see that Ken touched so many people in his life.  God Bless You, Ken.
